When my friend and studio-mate Jessica of Lemongrass Photography recently asked if I would be interested in donating a session to help raise money for the adoption process for some of her dear friends I immediately said yes. I know adopting a child can be a very long process and it is more expensive than most people realize.
Growing up as a child I was taught that no one should ever be denied of love. We all deserve to be loved and cared for, whether it be by one person or an entire family. I have never met Jessica’s friends, Amy and Ryan Abell, but reading about their family, their adoption process and reading what other friends of theirs are saying and doing to support their cause makes me want to help out any way that I can. Please head over to the blog of the Abell family and learn more about their story of bringing Tucker home. You can read the blog of friends of theirs who are also helping out, Running Tucker home, such an amazing way to help!
Photographing children and families and babies and couples (can I tell I really like my job?) is something I love and if I can do something I love to help out a family trying to bring home someone they love then I think it is a win for everyone! Even better, not only will the donations that are raised support this family, but other adoptive families as well.
So….If you would like to donate to bring Tucker home and also receive a mini session with me as a thank you please join in on my auction. The highest bid will wins the mini session, if you bid and do not win you do not have to donate but any donation will gladly be accepted. All of that money will be donated directly to Amy & Ryan Abell or donated to other families adopting.
The bidding starts now and I will end the auction at 6pm Wednesday, July 31st, 2013. To submit a bid or if you have any questions please email me at amandaduncanphotography (at) gmail (dot) com
